i love frosty nights

yes another christmas card ~ tried to keep this flat as possible `cause it is going to family in USA and yes had another go with my promarkers ~thanks to everyone who said such lovely encouraging words in my last post
.. i will keep at it for a bit longer before i give up... think maybe i need some more colours and the blending pen!! (with water colours you can mix the colours you have, to get the correct colour)

used another amazing sketch from SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY#76

ABC CHRISTMAS ~X IS FOR XMAS

COOKING IT UP WITH KATIE #38 ~ PUNCH YOUR GOLDEN FAMILY ( USE PUNCH/ADD GOLD/FAMILY)

CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS#87 ~WINTER WOODLAND

FAB `N` FUNKY#49 ~ FORGET ME NOT (LONG FORGOTTEN STAMP)

ALL LINKS ON MY SIDE BAR TO THE LEFT

forgot how much i love this magnolia tilda and fir tree stamp ( not seen the light of day for a least a year!!) also used some more papermania a silent night papers (just love the shiny gold),elzybells wording, nestabilities oval dies, quickutz poinsettia die, stampin`up scallop edged punch, gold pen used around the vellum and lamp, some stickles glitter and white soft stuff.

ps ~asking lewis (6) if he had a good day at school yesterday he replied ~"no the worst ever" oh dear i thought what has happened looking at his frown and crossed arms ~" pudsey bear was there, came in his stupid helicopter, waving and everyone shouting...... and i have to be on telly ~just hate it all" ~i guess we won`t be watching CHILDREN IN NEED tonight on the BBC ~just in case we get a second glimse if our grumpy six year old!! .. but i am sure the grandparents will be watching every second just in case!!..oh gosh just thought he has to wear spotty clothes today to school..oh that is going to go down sooooooooooo well!!!! wish me luck!!

  3. Nessy, It looks to me like you are getting the hang of using the promarkers. I use the copic and love them. Arlana and Judi got some pormarkers and got me a few of them as well. I like both for different reasons. Super cute card this week. I love the traditional color scheme and adorable image! Nice take on the sketch!

  8. hi there nessy
    love the card
it took me a while to get the hang of promarkers after being used to water colour pens and pencils but just love them now
i was lucky enough to be able to buy the whole set last year for my birthday great range of colours
don't know if this will help but i found that i was putting too much colour on (as in filling all the space on the image)but watched a demo which made me realise that less is more so leaving gaps for your light points then following up with your lightest colours next and then keep getting darker until you are finishing off with your dark areas and shading etc. you probably know all this already but just in case lol
anyway i think you have made a great job of the card so don't give up on your pens have fun

love the cute festive card with Tilda, and your colouring is really coming along so do keep at it. I must admit though, I prefer the Copics with the brush tip as they are more like painting!
