HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!

well today i am showing my ATC for the tilda and friends ATC challenge , who are celebrating their 1st birthday ~yes one year setting challenges!! congratulations !!
guess who else is celebrating their one year blogging today 28th february??? yes ME!! my first post was 28th feb, 2008 ~cannot believe it has gone so fast and i have met some wonderful people along the way ~here`s to another year!!
have used tilda with crown (her party hat), magnolia bench, magnolia cake (with one candle), quickutz balloon, with the words "here`s to another year of 365 days with you ~happy birthday" (clear stickers from my stash!!), finished with lots of glitter!!

cold nose...warm heart!

well today i am showing my final xmas card for this months christmas all year round challenge (red/pink/hearts)!! used the fab sketch 1 over on scrapaddicts.
used my new elzybells art stamps, nestabilities rectangle die, cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, studio g stamps and finished with glitter.

well today i am showing a thankyou card i have made using the fab sketch on secret crafter ~used teatime teddy cuddlybuddly stamp, quickutz frame and photo corners, cuttlebug merci embossing folder, small tag punch, finished with gelpens and glitter (detail when click pic!!)
so good to be crafting again!!

joy (xmas card 8)

well today i am showing (yes another xmas card), card number 4 for the xmas cards all year round challange (pink/red/hearts) using sketch 2 over on scrapaddicts.
used my ATC from last week, cuttlebug sledding embossing folder on clear sparkly vellum brushed with red ink, stampin` up scalloped edge punch and studio g word stamp, corner bubble circles from my stash.

well we are back ~guess where we have been??
not hard to guess ~disney paris ~ staying with the cowboys ~yes boys heaven!!

here are to mean cowboys!! ~they did enjoy their time ~that is their cowboy faces!!

outside the only eating place lewis would eat (long story)~but it was nice and bright, not too noisy and the staff went round on rollerskates!!

no crafting for a week now , hope to get back to some once the boys are back to school!!

well today i am showing lewis`s birthday card, i made for aaron to give him ~aaron picked the image (looking at it i think it`s the girls one!!) stamped for me by jo (onlyjoking)~as we have a surprise for lewis`s birthday ~with the cowboy as a clue!!
followed the fab sketch over on friday sketchers and followed the theme on "a spoon full of sugar" which this week is "doodle doo (do a bit of doodling on your card) ~need to click on the pic to see
just have to say i will not be crafting or blogging , as we have a busy week planned, so taking a blogging break!! speak very soon , xx

ye old dragons

well here is one card i have made for lewis`s 5th birthday ~used the great sketch over on the "high hopes "challenge and also followed the challenge over on "my time to craft" which is "going for gold", ~to used gold on your card.
used this fab high hopes image and words from my dear friend jo (onlyjoking), basicgrey archaic papers , loads of gold card, gold word stickers from my stash and lots of gold glitter ~need to click on pic to see it!!
wasn`t so pleased with my colouring of this dragon ~but heyho sure lewis won`t mind!!
we have just got in, been out all day shopping for pauls birthday pressies ~about to make his new computer chair now, (after a nice hot cup of tea!!)

he`s football crazy....... sing along!!

well over on cute card thursday the challenge this week is "music and dance"! ~ ( think instruments, songs etc) mm i thought difficult for pauls birthday card from the boys!! then in my head i started singing "he`s football crazy ..... " yes you know the rest!! just perfect idea ~just got this stamp from my dear friend jo (only joking) ~ and found this fab sketch over on crafty creations ~really enjoyed making this card ~even though i seem to be doing loads of "boys" cards this time of year!! ~to many aquarius men in this family!!

well tomorrow is paul 40 something birthday ~not much planned as everywhere is so busy for valentines!! ~shame he never gets to celebrate much!!

well over on house mouse challenge the theme is to used a tall /thin card, maybe my card is tall but not so thin!! used the wonderful sketch over on friday sketchers.
used "o lucky day" house mouse stamp, studio g wording and clover border, nestabilities pinking circles, cuttlebug spots/circles embossing folder, dovecraft mens papers and 4 leaf clover button from my stash. (birthday card for my husband on saturday)

birthday emmy

yes no xmas cards!! have just joined the cuddlybuddly forum and am taking part in my first challenge ~ the challenge for this month is a sketch and no use of patterned paper!! (thats difficult for most of use crafters ~however you can stamp/emboss your own)
used cuddly buddly birthday emmy stamp, cuttlebug birthday word embossing folder, quickutz daisy embossing folder, stamps away flower stamps, stamin`up circle wording and finished with flowers, gems and glitter.

well yes afraid so xmas card number 7 ~sure you`re going to be tearing your hair out soon say no more xmas cards vanessa !!! who will be laughing come december???
anyway yet again a wonderful sketch over on just xmas and birthday cards challenge, did the card in pink/red/white to comlete xmas card number 3 for this months challenge over on xmas all year round ~ and used some "cicles" ~ (and dots ) for the one stop craft challenge.
i used my ATC (further down the postings) from the tilda and friends challenge ~great idea to join in with this challenge every wednesday and use it as a topper for future cards!!
cuddlybuddly circle wording, small pinking circles nestabilities (have used two but well hidden under the wording ~ need to look hard!!), see d`s festive fun wording and paw prints, stampin up scallop edge punch, xmas ribbon from stash, finished with a little glitter.

well the sun is shining here today, after all that rain yesterday ~and snow over the last week, makes a nice change ~no wonder us brits talk about the weather so much ~it is always changing!! hope you have a good day~and the sun will shine on you soon, byeeeeeeeeee xx

i love you

well today i am showing a valentines card for my hubby ~followed the sketch on wiff of joy challenge ~being a heart card as well it fitted so many challenges going at the moment!! however followed the theme over on cute card thursday which this week is "metallica" ~to use metal,charms , eyelets etc on your card. also followed the challenge no. 1, over on craft creations~which is "hearts galore".
used this wonderful WOJ image (stamp by my friend jo for me)~ some wonderful paper (nowever have thrown the name away ~du), cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder used on silver paper and vellum, circle and rectangle nestabilities, quickutz photo corners, siver metal heart charm , heart ribbon and stickers from stash. finished with some glitter.

have made his card already as i have a husband and daddy birthday cards to make for him for the same day ~yes his birthday is on valentines day!!(postman must think him popular!!) also have birthday cards to make for my baby for next week , lewis, who will be 5 years old next week ~where has the time gone??? so yes more "boys" cards to make !!

warm up + have fun

well today i am showing my ATC for the tilda and friends ATC challenge ~this week the theme is "warm up + have fun" ~we could all do with that in this weather.
used this tilda as she looked all warm in her wooly jumper, scarf and hat~chose some nice warm colours ~also used magnolia tree (branch at top left hand corner) and also some new scrummy stamps i`ve got from kars ~dog and stick ~so tilda and the dog are having fun throwing and catching the stick!!

well lewis has been up all night on the loo ~thought he was better from the sickness bug ~how wrong i was , bless him ~seems the bug is making it`s way through ~he asked me "when is this bug going to crawl out mummy??" ~wish i knew!! what do you tell a 4 year old??

the miracle of christmas (no 6)

sorry another christmas card (well it is xmas weather out there!) ~used the wonderful sketch number 1, over on scrapaddicts, made this card to fit into xmas cards all year round (pink/red/white + hearts) and then over on ABC challenge the letter is Z ...... zzz sleeping!!
used this lovely stamp from cuddly buddly, cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder on red vellum, quickutz photo corner die and stars, ribbon and heart brads from my stash, finished with glitter.

well had to pick both boys up from their schools lunch time as both schools closed due to the very bad weather ~rain/sleet started taking them to school by 10am it was hard snow ~being snowing ever since!! not expecting this amount!! keep warm and safe everyone, byeeeeeee xx

comfort and joy (no 5)

yes afraid so xmas card number 5 ~ (what is happening with my photos these days?? not clear at all!!~ maybe click on it for a clearer look)
used this amazing sketch over on only xmas and birthday cards, also managed to complete the challenge over on xmas cards all year round, the theme this month is pink/red/white colours and use some hearts.
used this "new" sugar nellie stamp (from my friend jo), magnolia hearts (decoupaged) , crafty individuals christmas paper, studio g words, ribbons and gems from my stash ~finished with lots of stickles glitter, (cannot see on my pic, but looks so good around the edge of the hearts).~even if i say it myself!!! :~)

this is an edit bit ~thankyou debby found the button ~gosh how different it looks!! don`t know how to delete old pic of the card ~so now you have two!!! before and after!! ha ha!!

birthdays are....

well today i am showing the birthday card i made for my brother-in-law who has his birthday on friday. used the wonderful sketch over on friday sketchers and followed the theme over on one stop craft challenge ~buttons and/or bows. used buttons but hey not bows (however there are bows on the lanterns in the image)
used this fab magnolia edwin stamp (not used before), school desk, lanterns and birthday cake. see d`s wording, papermania ribbon, birthday words cuttlebug embossing folder, quickutz photo corners ~mens paper not sure who by (k&co or dove craft ~i guess)


lastly i am trying to keep up with my awards/tags ~ here is the lemonade award from kristin ~thankyou so much for thinking of me ~i will not be passing it on to 5 bloggers (so please take it if you don`t have it already) ~as i have been up most of the night with lewis being sick (yes every where) and this morning ~seems he maybe over it as no sickness this afternoon~just very warm (paul has taken a few hours off work to sit with him, while i do this post ) hope lewis/myself get some sleep tonight .

school is out!!

as you can see no school for my two today ~they are in their uniform ready to go ~can you imagine the smiles when i told them your schools are closed!! so they have been enjoying the snow ~lewis has never played out in snow before ~we never get it here in poole, dorset!!

even leo the lion got to see snow ~good photo for the school diary!!

talking of leo the lion ~he took a trip with us down to jo`s (only joking) to weymouth yesterday ~the boys had great fun playing the wii ~while jo and i chatted and paul (my husband) bless him just sat (billy no mates). here is sam, lewis and my lewis holding leo!! ~well what can i say about the photo below??
