school is out!!

as you can see no school for my two today ~they are in their uniform ready to go ~can you imagine the smiles when i told them your schools are closed!! so they have been enjoying the snow ~lewis has never played out in snow before ~we never get it here in poole, dorset!!

even leo the lion got to see snow ~good photo for the school diary!!

talking of leo the lion ~he took a trip with us down to jo`s (only joking) to weymouth yesterday ~the boys had great fun playing the wii ~while jo and i chatted and paul (my husband) bless him just sat (billy no mates). here is sam, lewis and my lewis holding leo!! ~well what can i say about the photo below??

wish upon a star~ xmas card 4

yes i am afraid so xmas card number 4 (sorry such a bad photo). used the great sketch from just christmas and birthday cards, and decided to follow the challenge over on ABC ~ Y ~YESTERYEAR ~use one of your first stamps. well i think a bang on the door foam stamp set may have been some of the first stamps i went out to buy over 3 years ago. (anyway seem to have had them years!!)
used english paper company papers, bang on the door angel stamp, oval nestabilities, see d`s word, star and wand stamps, ribbon and gems from stash.


lewis has been named the "special person" at school this friday, for a week, so had bought home leo the lion to look after ~we have to keep a dairy of what they do together!! should be fun!!!

last night leo wanted chips and cheese for his tea ~luckly lewis had something a little more healthy ~did anyone notice the lovely pen drawing behind lewis on his toy box ~yes lewis decided on tuesday it need decorating ~no amount of scrubbing or even sanding down will get rid of it!! any ideas??? maybe a trip to B&Q for some paint then!!

frame it

well today i am showing the birthday card i made for my brother who has a birthday in a few days ~loved the sketch over on scrapaddicts ~thought i would give it a try ~then over on penny black the challenge is "frame it"~ use a frame on your card!! ideal for my brother as he restores antique furniture and enjoys working with original materials and tools!! ~so found this wood looking paper to use for the frame and thought the outline corner stickers gave it the antique look!! used the pennyblack image and wording from my friend jo (only joking), various sized nestabilities, papers, brads and other embellishments from my stash!!

could i say a very big thankyou to all of you who have sent me awards and have tagged me over the last few weeks ~ i have been a terrible blogger ~and promise to get myself sorted and put them on my blog as soon as i get new ones (if their is anyone who still wants to ??) ~sorry again for not doing that before ~life has been mad here ~i have just run out of time!! ~will stop waffling now , and wish you a good evening. byeeeeeeeeeeeeee for now xx

birthday cheers

well today i am showing another birthday card ~this time for my next door neighbour, who turns 40 in a couple of days!! got a few mens cards to do over the next few weeks ~feel my mojo is missing!! ~not so pleased with this card!!
used the fab sketch over on sketch saturday and followed the theme over on the secret crafter ~1,2,3 = one image ~messyrabbit cheers pub stamp, two papers ~ paper nation and some plain paper from stash and three embellishments ~"40`s". also used messyrabbit words, circle and balloon punch and anitas stickers.

flowers for best friends

well today i am showing a birthday card for a very dear friend, made with the ATC i showed in my last post. used the fantastic sketch over on friday sketchers!!
i used ~well the ATC as post before, papers from my stash, nestabilities oval dies, quickutz swirls, prima flowers, messy rabbit words, brads, clips, gems from my stash. finished with a little stickles glitter. (again please click on the pic for detail ~another blurrrrrrrrrred pic!!)
am so behind on all my blogging and crafting~ just not enough hours in the day ~ hope to get something done today!!

well i am showing my ATC for the tilda and frinds ATC challenge ~this week the theme is ~ one, two, three ~1 button, 2 ribbons and 3 flowers.
well found this cutey in my image folder sent to me by a dear blogger friend ~oh she did colour well!! added 1 flower button, 2 spotty ribbons, 3 prima flowers, quickutz corner die, gems from my stash and finished with a little glitter.
what a busy weekend we are having ~meeting myself coming back!!! so many of you dear friends have sent me awards ~and i have lost my list ( so i didn`t forget who had given me what~da) ~think the only thing i can do is go back over all my old posts and search for them!! mmmmmmmm could take a while ~so just to say i haven`t forgotten ~and a big sorry!!

grandad birthday smile

well today i am showing the birthday card i made for my dads birthday tomorrow , from my two boys!! ~so a grandad card!!

used the fab sketch over on mojomonday (week 70), followed the challenges on highhopes ~"card for a dude" and ABC ~ is for a X some where on your card.

used highhopes ice~cream for two and sunnie face stamps, inkadinkado word stamp, nestabiltities pinking circle cut in vellum, paper unknown ~(was with some decoupage sheets i had in my stash!!) finished with a little glitter.

here is a closeup of the decoupaged boy and dog!! must get my high hopes out more often!!

hedgehog xmas (3)

well today i am showing my 3rd xmas card made this year!! used the wonderful sketch over on just christmas and birthday cards challenge, and added my third card to xmas all year round for the month of january!
used papermania paper, pennyblack stamp, messyrabbit stamps, cuttlebug xmas ornaments embossing folder, stampin` up scallop punch, finished with a touch of glitter.
it seems much warmer down here today ~still nice warm cup of coffee is in order now, after the school run (mind you it did try and rain)!!

dotty birthday

well today i am showing the birthday card i made for my dad who`s birthday it is this weekend. used the fab sketch over on sketch saturday, included the challenge on pennyblack which this week is "lets get dotty"~used dots on your card, and the challenge over on secret crafter which isto use "hearts" on your card. ~seems my photo is a little blurred again, clicking on it may help!!
used pennyblack ~life of the party~ stamp (decoupaged the balloons), dovecraft mens papers, nestabilities large pinking circles, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, sizzix night and day alphabet, quickutz hearts and stampin` up scallop edge punch, see d`s wording, brads from my stash, finished with a little glitter on the balloons.

sticky xmas ~number 2

as you may have guessed from my last post i made my ATC for the tilda and friends challenge to be used on my second christmas card this year!! used the fab sketch over on birthday and christmas cards only challenge. also completed my second card for the xmas all year round challenge.
as with my ATC used pennyblack on my list stamp, papermania vellum stickers, cuttlebug xmas words and script embossing folders, quickutz flowers die, ribbon from my stash ~finished with a little silver stitching!!

sticky friends

well here is my ATC for tilda and friends challenge ~which this week the theme is "something sticky" ~peel offs/stickers etc!! having read the new rules i think this cute hedgehog is ok to use, if not sorry annie , i need to re~read them!!

mouse birthday

well today i am showing a birthday card i made for my best friends husband steve ~HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE ~nearly catching me up!!
used the fantastic sketch over on sketch saturday, also used three other challenges on this card =over on basic grey the challenge is to use "chipboard", and over on one stop craft ~the theme is "take a punch" (use a punch), also over on cute card thursday they are asking you to use humour on your card "have a giggle".
i have used basic grey archaic rock and primitive papers, brenda pinnick chipboard letters/circles, used my stampin` up scalloped edge punch,and used my new crop~a~dile big bite for holes and eyelets, used this cute housemouse stamp ~mudpie wonders and inkadinkadoo~ child hood saying , used the puched out hole middles as embellishments!! ~no glitter as a mans card!!
still sorting out toys/and crafting bits ~starting to see the wood for the trees!! byeeeeeeeeee for now xx

messy anniversary!

well i am still around , thought i would get up early and post this card, before the day begins.
this card is for my in-laws 40 something wedding anniversary which is today. used the fab sketch over on friday sketchers. (think you may need to click on the pic for detail)
used messy rabbit~rabbit couple and all sorts extra bits stamps, studio g stamps, quickutz swirl, flowers, ribbon and gems from my stash. (did try using my bigbite with eyelets but didn`t work , so just punched the holes for the ribbon!!~ have been on do-crafts video and now know how to get those eyelets on!!)
sorry i haven`t been around but still giving the living room a clear out , moved the furniture around~moved all my craftstuff (thats a job and a half) ~it always gets worse before it gets better!! ~so still at it today ~lewis`s toys ~very big sort , the conservatory is full of boxes and bags (out of the way) ~gosh better have 3 shredded wheat today!!

feeling blue or violet

well showing my card for a friend, using the challenge over on ABC ~ V is for violet ~love violet and purple colours so really enjoyed making this card (sorry bad photo again ~must be the bad light or my photography!! clicking on the pic may help!)
the large flower at the top opens to reveal a message. also over on cute card thursday the challenge this week is to use new crafting goodies that you received over xmas. well got this new magnolia stamp and two flower sizzix dies , from father xmas.
have used magnolia stamp stilige, inkadinkado word stamp, qickutz flourish, sizzix~friends phrase, scribble flower, jelly frame, layers flower dies, papermania paper, brads and gems from my stash.
well had a great weekend cleaning out cupboards and wardrobes ~hey some bags for the charity shop and loads for the tip!! hope to clear through the whole house over the next few weeks!! gosh it feels so good!! ~only thing is no time for crafting or blogging!!
so if i`m not around i will be up to my eyes in rubbish, wearing my marigolds!! byeeeeeeeeee xx

no you are not seeing things it is my first xmas card for 2009 ~after the panic for last xmas ~vicky may and myself have set ourselves the challenge of one xmas card a week ~so i`m afraid you will have to look at some xmas cards on my blog once a week!!
used the fab sketch on christmas and birthday card challenge, and also followed the challenge over on xmas all year round, the theme being to use "red and green, plus a stamped on sentiment"

pennyblack notelets

here is a set of notelets i have made using the sketch on one stop craft challenge (also part of the challenge was to include a button/brad), i also included the pennyblack challenge this week which was "embossing".
used ~ pennyblack ~roses for you stamp, cuttlebug stylized flowers embossing folder, rectangle nestabilities, american crafts ribbons, various studio g stamps, flower ,gem and dragonfly brad from my stash, finished with a little glitter.

mums challenge

well i have not done any crafting for days so thought i would show these book marks i made for my mother and siter~in~law, at christmas.
my mother had set myself and my SIL ( http://www.allisonmoore.com/index.html ) the challenge to take these two images and create something ~seeing as my mother and SIL are artists~i let them draw and paint while i did some stamping!!


used claudia the artist, sugar nellie stamp, magnolia book stamp, quickutz dies, paper and ribbons from my stash.

...and then on xmas day they both said they hadn`t had the time to produce anything with the images!!!!??? well who is the busy mum with over 100 xmas cards made???..and still completed the challenge???

well the boys are back at school today, so life is back to some kind of normal!!

anniversary kiss

well today i am showing a card i made for paul, my husband for our wedding anniversary, which we will celebrate this weekend ~cannot believe we have been together 15 years ~how time flies and all that!!!!!

used the sketch over on scrummystash cafe, which is for a scrapbook page , but it does say it can be used for a card , thought the sketch was ideal for a front opening card, a chance for me to use my new magnolia stamps paul got me for christmas!! also used k&co paper, magnolia tree and bench stamps, doodlebug stamps and my new nestabilities.

so i think we can all say life is getting back to normal at last ~the boys will head back to school monday ~and all will be calm , and hopefully i can get down and be creative, without having to get up and down every 5 mins for food, drinks , putting toys together/and taking them apart, watching games on the nintedo wii, ds lite and playstaion and a referee with the boys arguing and fighting !!

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR
