cannot believe we are already on number 8 ~ " AUTUMN". well autumn to me is lovely warm colours (leaves changing on the trees), cold stary nights and frost in the morning ~ and for my boys halloween!! so have a mixture in my DT card!!! hope you can join us this week for this challenge ~so sorry i didn`t get to see our last challenge entries as i had other things going on at home.

today i am showing a card i made as a just a note card, chose the stamp then saw on THE CRAFTY PAD that their challenge was for a "RAINBOW" themed creation, to show awareness for children with AUTISM , especailly one little boy who`s parents are trying to raise money for. as you know my oldest son is on the autistic spectrum and my youngest is going through a diagnosis, so a cause very close to my heart!!

for this card i used the sketch over on SKETCH AND STASH#44 (on it`s side)~ i have used one of my first stamps ever bought and not used, new prima paper and my new nestabilities label dies.

for all my friends who knew that we have been trying to get Aaron, our eldest son, who has aspergers syndrome , into a new school after being beaten up and badly bullied at his last school ~our appeal for a new school , which we felt would be so much better for him, was not successful. today i am totally drained from the 2 hour ordeal trying to put our case to the head teacher and panel, just days after speaking and fighting our case to the education welfare, senco and all the other people in suits that aaron could not possibly go back to his last school, after being home since the end of april. where do we go now???

babies touch the world with love

well today i am showing a card i made for a friend who has just had a baby boy ( i know it is not a baby image but i have very few (made a note to buy some ~any stamps you have that i should own??)
for this card i used the wonderful sketch over on SKETCH AND STASH#43 ( used the stamps and papers for the first time, which have been hiding in the dark corners of my craft drawers for a while < especially the papers!!)
and followed the challenge on ALLSORTS #68 ~NEW BEGNNINGS (all links on my side bar)

used K&co papers, lilli of the valley boy stamp, whiff of joy baby wording, nestabilities circle dies, cardcraft card candy. ~sorry about the fuzzy photo ~cannot retake, as the card as it has already left my hands .

well as you can see i am here ~ not sent away wearing a suit with arrows printed on it. the meeting with the educational welfare officers, senco team and uncle tom cobbly and all (although at first we felt very in intimidated with all these faces staring at us with piles of papers infront of them) it went well and paul and myself came out after two hours feeling positive ~ and just hope our school appeal next week goes well ~otherwise we have to think what to do next to get our son an education .

before i go this morning i thought i would share this photo taken yesterday of my two boys just before lewis (6) went for his first football training ~notice the arsenal kit!!! my dad asked why he didn`t have a bournemouth kit (our local team which my dad has supported for about 60 years)and my FIL supports spurs and was not too happy ~men!!!...well the hour went well except the game at the end, lewis`s team lost by 3 goals!!.. he came home and stripped off all his clothes and said "never, ever again "...... and put it all in the bin including his trainers!!!.. i will lovingly wash it and see what next tuesday brings!!

as you may have guessed i have been away on my family holiday to somerset ~what a wonderful time we had ~ this pic was taken by my mum on about her tenth attempt (i lost count) on my camera ~ think we may have lost interest !!! LOL... and we were about to go home!!

below is our trip to legoland ~here is my two boys driving ~it`s ok not real cars , just lego ones ~ and got their licence to prove it!!

hope you all had a wonderful summer too ~now autumn is approaching ~lewis is back to school and we are still fighting for a school place for aaron ~ have a meeting with education welfare this week ~ to see if they can get him back into his old school!! what has happened to the weather??.. yes we start our FAMILY holiday this weekend ........ rain and more rain.. ok if we were ducks....... what to do with very active boys, especially when one seems to be "scared" of anything new and the other has just turned a teenager??? ..ideas on a postcard please!! now here again is my die cut plate for my epic6 ~ used so much on saturday ~then a crunching, snapping sound ~the room went quiet......... everyone stood still ...and not only can the plate not be used again but it has broken my machine.. i sat and stared at the scene ....then lewis`s little voice said " don`t worry mummy if you are good, daddy will buy you a new one"..oh if only we could stay 6 years old!!!! LOL

.. i just wonder if i`m a good girl..........
