going through my journey since my brothers accident in May 2014~ a young lady(19) got intouch with me having read the SILS blog "sansoxygen" .. to tell me her story of her accident and her condition ..like my brother, she too is in hospital again (epilepileptic seizures and many other health problems) ..she is such a fighter and always wears a smile ..so this card is for her ..

so please say prayers for my brother and Chloe

PRAYERS are still welcome ..after my brothers infection , he went back to his new care home and has now had a fall and is back in hospital ....  he really hasn`t had any steps forward since Christmas....

Yes i am back ..just for this week , i have not been creating cards for a few months ... but since the New Year making Angels ( see at bottom of the page)

 Above is a photo taken of my brother and his wife, the last photograph i have before my brother`s life changing accident on the 24th May 2014 -  yes it 252 days, and he is making a very slow , but determind recovery...and has just been moved to a new subcute home, where physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, and  occupational therapy can start on his rehabilitation..on getting him eating ,walking and for his traumatic brain injury...

Now to explain why have been making ANGELS from glass beads :~

below is the website (sansoxygen.com) set up by my brothers wife and friends , keeping an update on my brothers progress and a place for friends to donate to the fund ... nothing is free in America , and as my brother was working free lance as a font designer and had been living in the country for less than two years,and was the major bread winner, my sister-in-law has no income coming in or help from the state, so is relying on family and  friends ...who have been amazingly supportive.

so, here i am making glass Angels  , to send to people who have kindly donated through me on my facebook page (see below)..here are a few i have made...

... and some small window charms, as well as larger ones , wine glass charms ... well if nothing else it is giving me therapy, making them..they can be found here...

christmas wreath and box

 

i know i am not doing many creations this christmas , but Lewis (my youngest) thought a flower wreath would be a nice gift for his teacher this year .. so we started to make it together ..he soon lost interest ... so this wek i have been making this wreath and the box for it to go into.

BROTHER...

 

well i know i wasn`t going to make any Christmas cards this year .. am on a crafting break but i thought i would make my Brother a  8 x8 card, that he can look at while still in hospital..

used the sketch over on SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY 2 #35

used Imagine That winter fun paper and "B" die cut, nestabilies label dies, memory box snowflake border and bauble dies, card candy, silver ribbon and thread from my stash , finsihed with a little stickles glitter.

below is a xmas card my mum has asked me to make for her hairdresser... so that is two card i have made!! used this wonderful saturated canary image and coloured with promarkers and spectrum noirs.

Now onto my trip over to California to see my brother , it is now six months since his accident..as you can see he is now breathing by himself, and we enjoyed a week of chat , and watched him have physio and speech therapy ..his long time memory is amazing ..but he still doesn`t understand what has happened to him..or that he now lives in America.. this  can be very upsetting for his wife...

this is the first time i met my brother , (after our 24 hour journey from England) he recognised me, with my husband and my nephew and niece ..i was able to wheel my brother out to this room (above), so we could all be together..

........and below in his room ..after spending 10 days with him, he is even waving here ...

my Brother is making slow progress, but amazing progress , what a fighter ... the next big step is looking for a kidney donor,as the medication he was given while in a coma has stopped his kidneys from working, so still having dialysis three times week ..

i am so very greatful that he is still with us, prayers and healing thoughts are still very much appreciated .. XX THANKYOU XX

i have decided to have a bit of a CRAFTING BREAK , with all that has gone on with my brother since his accident last May , i am feeling very tired and find i am having less time and not much mojo to create cards.. also myself and my husband are travelling to America to visit my brother soon for 10 days.. for anyone following my facebook will know with many ups and downs over the last 4 months ~ he is now out of his coma and only this week beginning to speak, and trying to use his left hand .. (and with all the positive news of michael schumacher) we are feeling very optimistic..... although he is still on a ventilator and daily kidney dialysis, and fighting MRSA...

please keep my brother and my parents, my brothers wife and children in your prayers
