forever friends!

this card has been made for tracy`s blog candy , ~cuteycards.blogspot.com ~ the theme is boy/man card!!! so just the chance to get out some of my new high hopes stamps!! dovecraft papers, new "forever friends" stamp (don`t know who by!!), buttons and thread from my stash. decoupaged the dog (so cute)and inked all the edges of the papers and card!!

wedding cake!!

another day another challenge ~ today i am showing my scrapbook page for "scrummystash cafe", their theme this week is "weddings"!! thought i would do a page for my scrapbook , showing our wedding cake . my parents had our cake made ,the detail was amazing (really doesn`t show up on this photo) everything was made of royal icing ,~the flowers (not my bouquet in the front ~i made that) , ivy, petals, butterflies, and if you look closley our names around the outsides !! why we are laughing while cutting the cake , is the icing was so hard, we couldn`t cut it!!!
i used on this page ~ paperadventures ~babyblue scroll paper, quickutz scroll die, quickutz eliza alphabet, brenda pinnick paper, photo tags, brads from my stash.

i would like to thank vickimay and her family for a lovely day yesterday (as always) ~mandys chocolate cake was so yummy!! lewis said it was like a dream!! wish we lived nearer, so we could get together more often~(child free maybe!!) see you down here soon ,when the husbands go and watch "the" football match!!!

sugar nellie`s garden!!

well another day another challenge, today i am showing my card for "friday scketches" ~ think i may have slightly gone off the sketch (artistic license!!) LOL
have used a sugar nellie stamp (image sent by fran) , high hopes gate stamp, quickutz flower circle , dovecraft paper , dove craft flower stamp and lots of glitter!!!
oh what fun i had making this card, as usual better to click on the pic for a better look , not good at showing the cards ( think i need to learn how to get better images on my blog!!)
well it rained all day here yesterday, so we went to B&Q and got some paint for our bathroom!! ~gone for a terracotta shade (was white with hint of blue) ~so looks very different ~only one wall though the rest is tiled!! brightened up a dull day!!!
well have a exciting day planned today ~ with cake, good food , great (bestest)friend and lots of craft talk!! so better get moving!!

well another day another challenge, today i am showing my card for "stamp something" ~which this week is "faux something" ~ use pretend stitching, paper that looks like fabric, leather, metal etc!! so i have used paper that looks like fabrics , linen and denim, used rub~on stitching (which wouldn`t rub on , so had to use doublesided tape!!) and diecut card to look like tacs (nails). used the denim fabric paper for edwins turn~ups and belt!!
this is a card i made for aaron to sent to a relative who was very kind and sent him birthday money (which he has already spent)!
had a child free few hours yesterday,(first time in years) while both sets of parents had one boy each , and gave paul and myself time to go out for lunch ~oooooooh hot food ,(finished meal), adult conversation ~heaven!! even had an hour to window shop!! did try on a lovely dresss ~but too long!!
looks like a day in today , as it is raining again, here on the south coast!! (unless we can think of somewhere inside!!)

well another day another challenge , i`m showing my card for the "cute card" challenge, which this week is a sketch!! thought i would get one of my pennyblacks out for this one!! (have decoupaged the balloons) dovecraft paper, handmade paper, dovecraft stamps, nestabilities, ribbon and gems from my stash!!.. and some glitter!!
well the weather was horrid yesterday , so i did actually get down and do some crafting!! not the most relaxed environment, being the school hols ,but nice to get crafting!!

picking apples!!

another day another challenge ~today i am showing my card for "my paperworld "sketch ~ which has given me the chance to use my new stamp, my sugar nellie ~"picking apples"!!! used my new dovecraft paper, flowers, brads, gems, tag from my stash , finished with glitter!! she was so lovely to colour ~really enjoyed my time, doing this card, with such a nice easy sketch!!
well ,yesterday was glorious down here on the dorset coast , paul, lewis and myself headed down to visit jo (onlyjoking) to help her set up her nintendo wii, for her boys ,~ sam, lewis and paul had great fun, while jo and myself ,talked craft , and i stood in amazement at jo`s craft cupboards and stash!! (let me stamp a few images !! ~thanks jo) ~please take a look on her blog ~jo has some great blog candy up for grabs!!
well today the rain is coming down and the wind blowing!! how can two days be so different??

another day another challenge , today i`m showing my ATC, for the tilda and friends , which the theme this week is " birds of a feather". used image from jo (no don`t have this stamp), birdhouse, and see`ds cat stamp, dovecraft paper and finished with gel pens.
well looks like rain for the bank holiday weekend!! so not much outside activities then??? hope no-ones got picnics planned!!

well another day and another challenge, today i am showing my take on the "class" by maria on scrumystash cafe!! has taken me all week , as just had so little time to craft this week!! as you can see a very summery photo , chosen by lewis!! (yes he loves this , as you can see he is in my tummy ~and he finds it funny) so not my choice of photo!! have used papermania christmas paper, glittery hand made paper from my stash, see D`s stamps, hero arts journal stamp, thick chipboard "hope" from my brenda pinnick set and sizzix alphabet!! finished with glitter!!
the photo shows aaron being father xmas, last family avent before lewis was born two months later at the end of february!!! (then there was four!!)

would just like to say a very big thankyou to vickimay (justcosscards) and jo (onlyjoking) for these fantastic cards they sent aaron for his birthday!! they are stunning!!!

aaron loved vicki`s , (helped by her daughter) as she has made him dr who!! "my best card ever" , so from aaron that is praise indeed!!! think i`ll need to step up my game next year!! LOL

also jo`s card is so cool, similar colours and love the image!!

thankyou both so much!!

and last but not least my mother-in -law made aaron this card, for her grandson!! fab colours with great imagination!!

with all those thankyous, i also need to give a big thankyou to fran (franmade) for these fab images , beautiful card and stamp (hope the cheque doesn`t bounce!!) LOL

fran had this card on her blog , and i said how i had missed out on them saturday morning (saw them friday night, but thought i`d wait until sat morning to buy)~they had all sold out ~ learnt one hard lesson!! so fran kindly said she would stamp them for me!! (what a kind friend), but also sent the card and her spare stamp ~ so need to use her now!!

gosh quite worn out now!! so thankyou all again , and for all your kind wishes for aaron on his birthday ~ the boys love indiana jones film - one for all the boys young and old!! pizza hut was good afterwards ~but not for aaron , he was so sick last night!! not really a good end to a perfect birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

as you may have guessed it is aarons 11th birthday today!!! where has the time gone??? and what cards could i have make??? boys are so much harder !! well aaron is really into pokemon, so had to be my first choice , so got the images from google, tried a new fold (for me) and the card sort of fell together , found the words to the theme tune to pokemon and used that on the inside ,with a poke ball!! (yes all very confusing) used sizzix alphabet and papermania clear stickers.

couldn`t not make a card from his little brother (4), so chose this decoupage sheet and papers by design house, added sizzix alphabet, and lewis wrote himself (little help with the "e") on some paper , i could then just stick into the card!! why a big floppy dog , full of life ? well aaron loves to take out to the forest, my parents next door neighbours dog for a walk (run) every saturday morning!! think aaron and barney love the time , think my parents need a rest when they get home!!! ( my parents miss having dogs to take out , so enjoyed by them all)

just waiting now for the boys to come down, aaron is back to school today , (with a bag of chewy sweets, for his class mates) no more outside adventures in weymouth, then onto the cinema and pizza hut , after school with his friend (and my husband).

thankyou ~friend!!

well another day , another challenge, today i am showing some folders , i made for some friends to say a big "thankyou", for goodies they had sent me , i sent them monday , but seems no~one has got theirs yet , so shouldn`t really post this today, but have nothing else to show!!

the theme for "stamp something" this week is "thankyou" ~ so i feel these folders fit the bill!!

used card stock bought on my trip to craft central (chosen by jo ,only joking , although hers is not sent , waiting for posh stamping card, for hers ,~ very choosy some of these artiste!!) LOL used my nestabilities, dovecraft stamps, quickutz tag and ribbon from my stash!!

aaron made it home safe from his trip , and goes again today , for more adventures, then thursday , another adventure ~his 11th birthday and a trip to see indiana jones at the cinima ,with a friend and ofcause my husband (what grown boy could resist, specially with pizzahut afterwards)

tilda loves books!!

another day another challenge, today i am showing a book mark i have made for the magnolia challenge, which this week the theme is " beads" !! used loves me~wild hearts paper, standing tilda with bow, books stamps, some glitter pens and loads and loads of beads from my stash. one problem how do i secure the ends (any ideas anyone ??) think i may do some more of these , but must think about how to secure those beads!!
aaron on his school trip today, sailing, abseiling, rock climbing, you name it ,they are doing it!! have to keep myself busy crafting , keep my mind off it!! (such a worry mum!!)
just to let you know baby elsie may, came home yesterday!! mum and baby are doing so well, still 3 weeks until her due date!!! lewis and myself and been next door , and she slept the whole time!! (even with our talking and lewis playing ball??)

tilda`s holiday!!

well another day another challenge, today i am showing my card for "cute card" challenge , the theme this week is ~ vacation/travel" ~ so here is tilda down on the beach , enjoying the sand and sun , and a lovely ice~cream!!! for us lucky people who live on the coast , we don`t have to travel far, or be on holiday, to enjoy a day out like tilda!!





have used papers from my stash, tilda image sent to me by jo (only joking), die~cuts by quickutz and sizzix, ribbon from my stash , ( have pulled the threads to look like a towel??) when the flap is open the saying says " interest your heart in everything and your life will be full of adventures" (found in "a peaceful life " by david baird), dove craft corner stamp, oh and some glitter , which never shows up, so again click on the pic , for detail!!
really enjoyed making this card, never happier than cutting out bits of card!!!

well am i not the luckiest girl??? fran (franmade) has sent me this gorgeous award!!! thankyou so much fran , i`m sending it right back to you, for all your help and encouragement to get me blogging (and into magnolia stamps!!) and for being such a fantasic craftswomen!!

dark hair and card swops!!!

another day another challenge, today i am showing my scrapbook page for "my time to craft" challange, which this week the theme is "dark hair"!! well seeing as we all have dark hair in this family , what better, than photos of my two boys when they were born!!! really cannot tell them apart , only the different coloured bowl gives a clue!! purple and green tilda!!

another day another challenge , well two actually!! papertake weekly`s theme this week is to use " lime and lilac", so got my papers organised!! then in the post arrived my new tildas (yes more)~so that was sorted , knew what i was going to use , then wednesday morning, just about to get started , when, ATC tilda challenge is "glorious green"!! so here is my ATC for both challenges!!(gosh that was long winded!!)
have used DCWV papers, shabby chic tilda ,standing with a bow, and blossoms ~ snag`em stamp, decoupaged the flowers, and added glitter!!
just like to say thankyou to all your best wishes for my 10 year old aaron ~ he did go back to school yesterday ~they now have a sticker chart in the class room , for appropriate behaviour at break times ~so lets hope that works ,and this other boy , doesn`t attack someone else!! ( i went and saw aarons class teacher yesterday to explain how devastated he is and, how i hope all the work we have done to get him into school and to feel comfortable there, has not been undone, and to keep an eye on this other boy)

journey of life!!

well another day another challenge!! today is my scrapbook page for scrummystash cafe ,the theme this week is ~"bon voyage" ~anything to do with holiday/transport/journey ~so here is my take!! a magical holiday on a very (then) quiet and untouched greek island , kefalonia, back in september 1995!! where my husband asked me to marry him!! so for us it was a holiday journey and a life changing journey!!! this page did not come out as i imagined , so a bit disappointed!! used papers and words from my brenda pinnick set, embellishments from sizzix and quickutz. the wording on the computer!! (better detail if you click onto the pic!!)

for anyone interested here are lewis`s and my sunflowers , now two weeks old and measure 25 cms!!! (he loves the fact i`m putting the pictures on my blog ~so may have to see the flowering sunflowers every thursday ,girls!!)

well the pressure of the SAT`s have started , as my son got beaten up at school yesterday at break time!! ( not the only child this week) badly bruised and shaken, have got him back into school today (but for any of you who know me and aaron, that in it`s self is very difficult) so to all MP`s ~get rid of this pressure on our children and teachers ~sorry i will get of my soap box now!!

welcome baby elsie may!!

well no challenge today!! have made a card for my next door neighbours , who are the the proud parents of a very special baby girl!! mum was in hospital for about a month , poorly , before the doctor decided baby elsie was ready to come into this world!! both mum and baby are doing fine!!(so the proud dad says)

the idea for this card , came from a one i saw on jenny`s blog "stamping moments", thanks for the inspiration!! gosh !!this is for a challenge (sorry early been up since 2.30am with poorly lewis again) it`s for a new blog challenge "stamp something!" the theme being "first somethings" ~so have made this type of card for the first time and baby elsie is new to this world (and being their first born!!)

have used yellow card (baby`s nursery is painted yellow), used cuttlebug "best friend" embossing folder for the front pocket (the words work very well, used the word giggle for the ribbon tag!!), winnie the pooh paper, magnolia teddybear stamp(inside and out), sizzix letters, quickutz rub~ons, x~cut corner punch, pink gems, yellow ribbon and yellow glitter from my stash!!

i do hope mum and baby will be home soon, their lives will be changed for ever!!
