from friends! (and husbands)

well i have nothing to show today as the card i was making was not finished, so hopefully it will be tomorrow and i can post it then. but i did receive this wonderful card and amazing folder from linda http://linda-wright.blogspot.com/ , some so cute images , and i don`t have any of these stamps , so cannot wait until i can play with them. thankyou so much linda , was a lovely surprise, to find on my door mat yesterday!!

well who said romance is dead??? i read yesterday that one lucky crafter had been given her subscription to the magnolia club, from her husband ~which made me laugh , as yesterday paul arrived home smiling " don`t ever say i`m not romantic" and produced a long handled broom!! well i sat nonplussed ~ he then said " well you did say you need one , and it was reduced to £1.75" ~like i said romance is not dead ~it`s the thought that counts ~but i have to say the magnolia stamps would have been nicer!!

friendship (we all need friends)

well another day ,and another challenge , well two today!! using the "stamp something sketch" and the "pennyblack challenge" i made this card for a friend. it`s on it`s way so cannot say who!!
used "girls rock" pennyblack stamp, k&co papers, hero arts stamp, gems and ribbon from my stash and a little glitter!!! i do so love this stamp and does come out again and again for different reasons!!





i thought i would show you this girly card sent to me by gilly http://gillyflowersexpression.blogspot.com/ (another do~crafts member) she used this stamp as it is called "vanessa" ~looks a bit like me about 15/20 odd years ago!!! ( did go through a time with a perm ~didn`t everyone?? although never that tall , even in my white stilettos!!) and she sent me some more fantastic images ~thankyou gilly ~lovely surprise. thankyou for your support over the last few months ~as you have said ~ it does get better and your family are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel ~congratulations on your sons exam results!!

well busy day for me , meeting myself coming back , in and out of the car today , with school , nursery and this afternoon we are going to a teddy`s bear picnic with lewis , at his "new" school in september, for food and games. cannot see time for crafting today!!

tilda and her purple squares

well another day, another challenge, today i`m showing my card for the magnolia challenge, which this week the theme is "serendipity" ~ using small squares no more than 2x2 inches!!(hope that`s right!!) another card that looked better in my imagination than on card!!! looks better before tilda was added!! :~)
used lots of ripped hand made paper (mounted it on pink card), tilda with crow~feet, fence scene, and high hopes sun!! ooooooooh and plenty of glitter!!

i would just like to say a very big thankyou for all your support, -and hugs ~i needed everyone ~but please don`t be so nice ~as you started me blubbering again!!

don`t want to single anyone out , but vickimay, thanks for your phone calls , i have started the ball rolling! chrissy, thanks for the blog link (that lady is an inspiration)~and great scrapbook pages as well!! and jo , you have enough on your plate at the moment ~i`ll be fine ~we get over each hurdle~ with tears and talking!!

well another day and another challenge, today i am showing my take on the "class" by maria on scrumystash cafe!! has taken me all week , as just had so little time to craft this week!! as you can see a very summery photo , chosen by lewis!! (yes he loves this , as you can see he is in my tummy ~and he finds it funny) so not my choice of photo!! have used papermania christmas paper, glittery hand made paper from my stash, see D`s stamps, hero arts journal stamp, thick chipboard "hope" from my brenda pinnick set and sizzix alphabet!! finished with glitter!!
the photo shows aaron being father xmas, last family avent before lewis was born two months later at the end of february!!! (then there was four!!)

would just like to say a very big thankyou to vickimay (justcosscards) and jo (onlyjoking) for these fantastic cards they sent aaron for his birthday!! they are stunning!!!

aaron loved vicki`s , (helped by her daughter) as she has made him dr who!! "my best card ever" , so from aaron that is praise indeed!!! think i`ll need to step up my game next year!! LOL

also jo`s card is so cool, similar colours and love the image!!

and last but not least my mother-in -law made aaron this card, for her grandson!! fab colours with great imagination!!

with all those thankyous, i also need to give a big thankyou to fran (franmade) for these fab images , beautiful card and stamp (hope the cheque doesn`t bounce!!) LOL

fran had this card on her blog , and i said how i had missed out on them saturday morning (saw them friday night, but thought i`d wait until sat morning to buy)~they had all sold out ~ learnt one hard lesson!! so fran kindly said she would stamp them for me!! (what a kind friend), but also sent the card and her spare stamp ~ so need to use her now!!

gosh quite worn out now!! so thankyou all again , and for all your kind wishes for aaron on his birthday ~ the boys love indiana jones film - one for all the boys young and old!! pizza hut was good afterwards ~but not for aaron , he was so sick last night!! not really a good end to a perfect birthday!!

thankyou ~friend!!

well another day , another challenge, today i am showing some folders , i made for some friends to say a big "thankyou", for goodies they had sent me , i sent them monday , but seems no~one has got theirs yet , so shouldn`t really post this today, but have nothing else to show!!

the theme for "stamp something" this week is "thankyou" ~ so i feel these folders fit the bill!!

used card stock bought on my trip to craft central (chosen by jo ,only joking , although hers is not sent , waiting for posh stamping card, for hers ,~ very choosy some of these artiste!!) LOL used my nestabilities, dovecraft stamps, quickutz tag and ribbon from my stash!!

aaron made it home safe from his trip , and goes again today , for more adventures, then thursday , another adventure ~his 11th birthday and a trip to see indiana jones at the cinima ,with a friend and ofcause my husband (what grown boy could resist, specially with pizzahut afterwards)

firstly today i would like to say a big thankyou to jo (onlyjoking) for this stunning card!!! it says "whoo hoo" on the front and "we did it!!" inside . so sweet of jo , as we have been getting the SBS13 group together for swops etc, and finally got our first card swop under way this weekend!!(only jo had plumbing trouble , not her , her loo,) so she couldn`t send out all the e-mails to the members taking part , so i had to do it!! so jo sent this card and a lovely bar of swiss chocolate(now eaten)~ really didn`t have too , as we are a team , ( jo typed up all the addresses and birthday lists!!) so swings and roundabouts!!





well, fairymadjo, (fairymadjojo.blogspot.com ~ SBS13) HAS TAGGED ME!! i have to write 7 interesting facts about me!!mmmmmmmmm going to prove difficult, i`m always talking about my boys , not me!!


1. i am the only right handed person in this house , all the boys (including husband) are left handed!!


2. love the "time team" on tv ~ wish i had been an archaeologist ~ but hate the cold, wet and getting my hands dirty!!


3. worst holiday~ the airlines lost my luggage going to and coming back from thailand, while in thailand had a motor bike accident, and spent most of the holiday , bandaged foot and leg (visiting the hospital every day to have it cleaned and rebandaged) on the way home the aircraft lost the power of one engine so stopped off in bombay (took off twice ~then the airlines decided to go back , land and stay in bombay ~stranded there for 27 hours on my own, the indian authorities even took my passport)


4. had to be rescued at my local swimming pool, as found i couldn`t make it back to the side of the pool (aged 30 years old!!)


5. don`t drink alcohol, but love rooibos tea and milky latte coffee


6. love chocolate ~all types milk, white then dark, but hate the small chocs in gold wrappers " ferrer roche!! " see can`t even say the name!!


7. i`m only 5ft tall and a size 3 shoe, ~ can often find clothes and shoes in the childrens sale (only my oldest child has informed me that is "so not cool") so have stopped that ~mind you all my money goes on crafting stuff, haven`t got myself clothes for months and months!!


so there , i have found some facts , maybe not interesting , but found 7!!

hopefully some more magnolia stamps will be finding their way to my house tomorrow!!! least the postman won`t be dragging his bag along the ground -as they weigh so little!!

i really must get down to some crafting!!!
