well here we are again monday morning and time for the new sketch over on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/ ~today SIMONE has produced a wonderful sketch to help you get started on your christmas or birthday cards (or both)

i have used crafty individuals xmas papers and hand made papers, lili of the valley christmas bunnies (stocking), see d`s wording stamp, ribbon, bow , stars and gems from my stash ~with plenty of glitter.

hope you can join me and the rest of the team for some crafting fun with this sketch!!

flowers and butterflies

well today i am showing a card my mother asked to make for a friend of hers!! used the fab sketch over on SKETCH AND STASH (link on my side bar)

used my new kanban patchwork pals papers, nestabilies rectangle dies, sizzix build a flower die (forgot i had so never used!!), quickutz butterfly and swirl dies, new word stamp by the greeting farm, flowers, ribbon and brads from my stash, finished with some stickles glitter.

thankyou from myself and my husband for all your kind words, e-mails and phone calls ~they have been so supportive and now have needed to buy another box of tissues!!

today i am showing a xmas card using the sketch over on JUST MAGNOLIA (link on my side bar)
used xmas paper bag, hand made glitter paper, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, stamin`up scallop punch, magnolia tilda sat with envelope and santa`s sack, checked ribbon from my friend jo, all embellishements from my stash ~finished with glitter.

sorry not around but my DH has at last had his letter from his employer (of 22 years) and i`m sad to say he has been sacked ~but ofcause we will fight it ~he has done nothing wrong ~and he has proved it!! (but has fallen on deaf ears)........ what can i say???

today i am showing a birthday card i have made for a crafting friend ~just love this image ~ first time i have inked her up!! ~so lovely to colour!!
have followed the sketch over on WHIFF OF JOY challenge (link on my side bar).
used many different scraps of paper, woj ~ willow with cookies stamp, magnolia word stamp, cuttlebug swiss dots and also floral fantasy embossing folders, quickutz sirls, various flowers and brads, gems and ribbon from my stash. finished with stickles glitter.

today i am showing a card for lewis`s friend, ben ~ 6th birthday!! we have just come back from his party ~so plenty of "E" numbers boucing around!!
followed the challenge over on PAPER TAKE WEEKLY ~"fake it" ~so have used fake stitching all around the card, sun, name and tag. (may need to click on the image to see the detail)
used kanban patchwork pals kit, quickutz grass and large tag, sizzix alphabet and sun, popcorn bear wording stamp.
here is the inside of the card ( just love this kit with the fronts and backs of the figure ~works so well with the wall)

well here we go then, really must get those xmas cards made now!! went to a local garden centre yesterday and they were getting out xmas bits!!
followed the sketch over on PENNYBLACK and followed the challenge over on ONE STOP CRAFT~ "let it snow" (links on my side bar)
used pennyblack snowman and wording, cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder on vellum, nestabilities rectangles and pinking circles, sizzix snowflakes, ribbons, bows and brads from my stash ...oh and some stickles glitter. (may need to click on the pic to get a better look ~my photos are not so good, are they??)

well again the sun is out, just love this time of year ~cannot wait for the leaves to change colour!! ~hope the sun is out with you and you get some crafting time!!!

friends are special

today i am showing a birthday card for a crafting friend ~using the sketch over on STAMIN FOR THE WEEKEND (however this site has closed for a while following sad news) and following the challenge over on LILI OF THE VALLEY~"using the colours green,brown and orange" (links on my side bar)
i know, not my usual colours, bit out of my comfort zone~but hey enjoyed the challenge!!

used my new stamps from lili of the valley ~little girls tea time, nestabilitities pinking circles, various flowers, ribbons, brad from my stash.

here we are again monday morning and it`s sketch time on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/, this week is the turn of TANJA ~ what a wonderful sketch it is ~mmmmmmmmm think mine was too much for most crafters to follow last week , so sorry , will keep it simple next time!!

well for my xmas card i have chosen my new (birthday) stamp from lili of the valley called "christmas angel~praying" ~used fabscaps xmas paper, glitter gold handmade paper, quickutz doves and holly leaves, patchwork pals wording, nestabilities rectangles, brads from stash, finished with plenty of stickles glitter.

well today i am showing a birthday card i made for one of lewis`s class friends 5th birthday, using dare is say die cuts from a kanban kit!! ~yes no stamping or painting!!!!

have followed the challenge over on ABC ~"D is for die~cuts" ~hope this card counts!!

used patchwork pals diecut kit from kanban, sizzix alphabet dies, corner punch, various stars and words to make this shaker card and yarn from my stash.

below i am showing the various birthday cards i received from some crafting friends, (also some gorgeous goodies ~ which i forgot to take a pic) thankyou girls, :~ vickimay, carol, fairymad jo,vicki cody and kristin ~lovely surprise!!

well it`s friday again, boys first week over at school ~lewis has cried every morning!! ~so hope we can relax this weekend!!

for any of you who know about my DH pauls dispute at work lasting 7 weeks ~he finally has his meeting tonight at work to see if he still has his job ~what ever the answer we will fight it to the end~....... please send up an extra pray tonight!

JCBC 44 ~MY SKETCH!!

well here we are september the 7th and it is MY BIRTHDAY ~ yes 21 again!!

both my boys go back to school today and my mum goes into hospital for her eye op!!

but also today is my turn to create the sketch this week on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/ ~so here it is , and my card below ~so hope you can join in making a xmas or bithday card!!




i have used one of my stylish ladies stamp, quickutz nesting flowers , flourish , heart dies and sizzix heart dies, see d`s word stamp and plenty of glitter.

well as you have guessed by my post we are now back from our week holiday in somerset ~visited wooky hole caves and mill, western~super~mare, took a steam train from minehead to bishops lydeard, toy museum and everything else in between including dodging the rain and storms!! here a couple of photos from our week :~
