here we are again, monday morning and time for a new sketch over on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/ ~today it is the turn of janina to create the sketch. what a wonderful sketch it is this week.

i have used popcorn the bear stamps and ribbon from my stash ~with a little bit of glitter, for this birthday card for my brother tomorrow~ not really sure he is into bears ~but he did have a blue bear as a child, and took him everywhere (even had matching knitted jumpers that our nanna made for them both!!).

well a very different card for me!! no backing paper, no pink and not even girly!!!
decided it was time to have a little change ~so ordered some wonderful stamps , paper packs, and tags from crafty individuals, for a creative challenge to myself ~not sure if i have carried it off , but great fun losing myself in the art of it!!
over on ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE ~ they have asked for a creation which is ~"make it personal"~ so here is a 40th birthday card for my brother-in-law, who is spending his birthday in london next weekend~ as you can see i have used images and stamps of london land marks and added the month and london wording . vellum, brads, string and photo frames from my stash...and no glitter!!

thought i would show my valentines card i have made for my DH!! (not done his birthday card yet, on the same day ~bet the postman thought he was popular when he was younger!!) i have used the fab sketch over on ROSES ON PAPER (link on side bar)

used new stamp from belles`n whistles, papermania papers, nestabilities circles,various quickutz heart dies, sizzix flowers/hearts decorative strip and buzzcraft wording. brads and glitter from my stash.

was i a very happy bunny when i received this happy award from a blogging friend ~http://scrappyjandesigns.blogspot.com/ , thankyou so very much.

would like to hand this onto any of my followers who are reading this post~as all your comments and support make me very happy.

just a little tale about the card i am showing today ~while making it yesterday ~lewis (my 5 year old) was off school with a bad cold and asked "who`s that card for??" ~ " daddy" i replied to which he answered "YUCK!!" bit taken a back he then added " daddy will hate pink"!! well only a 5 year old boy could say that and give that look of complete disgust and get a smile in reply!!

today i am showing a "hello" card for a friend i visited recently (we had a good old chat for hours)

used the wonderful sketch over on SKETCH SATURDAY, followed STAMP SOMETHINGS ~challenge is ~funny somethings (well the wording made my laugh anyway!!!) and over on SECRET CRAFTER ~they have a colour combo picture to follow(deep mauve/purple,light green and cream colours) ~links on my side bar


used K&CO paper, rubber romance stamp, ellzybells wording, quickutz corner die and stampin` up scallop edge punch

well today i am showing a girly birthday card ~"yes"!!!
used the wonderful sketch over on INSPIRATIONAL CARD SKETCHES and also followed the challenge on A SPOONFULL 0F SUGAR ~lots of layering! (links on my side bar)

used one of my favourite stamps from ladybug and friends, k&co paper, doevcraft wording, on the inside greeting farm butterfly wording, brads and butterflies from my stash.

this is the first time i have made an easel card ~gosh how easy was that~ must be a bit more adventurous with my card making!!

HELP!!! ~to all you magnolia stamp fans ~ can anyone advise me what to do about my missing winter stamp set from magnolia ~have e-mailed them twice , but no reply ~i have also paid for another years stamp club(for 2010) ~and am very worried the same will happen again. has anyone experienced this before and what happened??

used popcorn the bear stamps (decoupaged the flowers and duck), papermania paper, quickutz circle tag (which is only attached at the top of the card), dovecraft words, green vellum, card, bow and vellum stickers from my stash.

cor cold here today ~need an extra layer and the heating is back on!!

on a personal note , if we didn`t have enough on our plate at the moment ~aaron got assaulted at school yesterday by a big 15 year old!! ~ofcause he is very upset and traumitized by the whole incident ~and i must say our local hospital were fantastic and gave him a thorough medical.

with all the problems with his last school~i do hope this will not be a set back ~all you mums with boys with Aspergers Syndrome will understand what i mean

happy "snowy" new year to you all ~yes even we have had snow here on the dorset coast!!
thought i had better start some crafting and blogging again!!
for this birthday card i have used the wonderful sketch over on SKETCH AND STAMP and also followed the challenge on CRAFT CREATIONS ~"black/white/splash of colour (well there was more black ,but is covered with the image) ~links on my side bar.

looks like both boys are back at school today ~ very sad faces then!!

gosh it is really cold here this monday morning -4 in the car ~so what it is in the wind?? about minus 6 at least!!

aaron is back at school today, lewis`s school has staff training and today is paul and my wedding anniversary ~remember it was very cold and snowing when we got married all those years ago!!
