christmas joy

here is my card using this sketch ~yes xmas time for me ~ used this sweet tilda holding a candle, magnolia edwins town stamp, basicgrey paper, nestabilities oval dies, studio g word stamp, ribbon and gems from my stash ~finished with some glitter. (here is a close up of tilda)

hope you are having a good start to the week. ~well the sun is out ~that always makes everyone smile!!

well it is fathers day here today ~different card from me today ~no stamps and no watercolour paints used ~no , as you can guess decoupage.... and no glitter!!
followed the sketch over on SCRAPADDICTS ~not used one for a while!!

used la pashe, "remember when..." decoupage sheets, dovecraft man paper.. and really not much else except different card used for matting and layering!! (with all the layers and loads of sticky pads ~was difficult getting it into the envelope!!.. much to my husband amusement)




just perfect for my father-in-law ~ (not cute cats or any of the other stamps i have!!)

sparkly summer birthday

well today i am showing a birthday card i made for a friends little girl who turns one years old next week ~ used the wonderful sketch over on SPOONFULL OF SUGAR, have not had much time for crafting this week so this card covers three other challenges!! first over on ONE STOP CRAFT challenge ~the theme is "add some sparkle", also on ABC the theme is "S is for summer", and on STAMPAVIE AND MORE the theme is "numbers" ~so think this covers all of these!!

used k&co papers, sugar nellie stamp~daisy, my new nestabilities lable dies, quickutz flowers and leaves, stamin`up circle words and a very glittered chipboard number, flower brad, ribbon from my stash and plenty of glitter.

over on TILDA AND FRIENDS ATC challenge the theme this week is ~"fathers day" ~so thought what a great time to bring out this edwin!! ~most of the men in our family enjoy watching football!!
used basic grey paper, magnolia wall, sign post and football edwin, a few stickers frommy stash.

well i have received a few awards over the past few days from debi, carolyn and maxine ~thankyou girls for thinking of me ~ can i pass them ontoall my blog followers, as for debi`s honest scrap award ~i need to write 10 things about me ~will try and do that very soon when i find time!!

last but not least ~received this card from another blogger called vanessa ~yes another one only she calls herself ~nessie" ~ thankyou nessie for this card ,lovely surprise to congratulate me on my DT place!!!

hope you are having a good day ~rain has not reached us yet ~ well the garden really needs it down in dorset ~it is so dry!! not had rain for so long!! (those clouds keep avoiding us) ~ really need to get down to some crafting!! xx

happy fathers day

today i am showing the card i made for my father , using the great sketch on FRIDAY SKETCHERS.
used some paper found in my paper cupboard, image from my friend kristin, nestabilities ovals, ribbon and stickers from my stash.
don`t know about you but i am finding making these father day cards really difficult ~not enough male stamps in my stash!! ( done the football etc before) .. still only one more to make!!

well today i have some very exciting news , karin from http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/ emailed me to ask if i would like to become a DT member, after my guest slot for the month of MAY ~well you can guess i didn`t have to be asked twice ~so today is my first day as a DT member!!!

wow what a thunderstorm we had here last night ~ so much rain and lightening and the thunder was just so loud ~and this morning we are back to beautiful blue skies!! ~british weather!!!

well today is my father-in-laws birthday, so this is the card the boys are giving their grandad ~yes i know real "boys joke"!!!!
used the fab sketch over on STAMP SOMETHING" and followed the challenge on ONE STOP CRAFT ~ " lets hear it for the boys".
used HOTP papers, murray and ethel stamps, quickutz photo corners, buttons and yarn from my stash.

still beautiful weather here , so washing the sofa covers ~need it with two boys ~although i cannot enjoy outside as i suffer with hay fever ~so hope to get down to a little crafting!! ~well the sun does age the skin!!

today i am showing a birthday card made for my father -in-law who has a birthday this week ~not had any time for blogging or crafting over the last week ~so lots to catch up on!!
followed the fab sketch on INSPIRATIONAL CARD SKETCHES and followed the challenges on TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS ~to make a "card with more than one fold" and CREATIVE INPIRATIONS to make "a card for a male"


once the card is opened .. the answer!!

then the inside ~hope this shows my two fold card!! very hard to show ~ but a bit of fun!!
