friends are special

today i am showing a birthday card for a crafting friend ~using the sketch over on STAMIN FOR THE WEEKEND (however this site has closed for a while following sad news) and following the challenge over on LILI OF THE VALLEY~"using the colours green,brown and orange" (links on my side bar)
i know, not my usual colours, bit out of my comfort zone~but hey enjoyed the challenge!!

used my new stamps from lili of the valley ~little girls tea time, nestabilitities pinking circles, various flowers, ribbons, brad from my stash.

here we are again monday morning and it`s sketch time on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/, this week is the turn of TANJA ~ what a wonderful sketch it is ~mmmmmmmmm think mine was too much for most crafters to follow last week , so sorry , will keep it simple next time!!

well for my xmas card i have chosen my new (birthday) stamp from lili of the valley called "christmas angel~praying" ~used fabscaps xmas paper, glitter gold handmade paper, quickutz doves and holly leaves, patchwork pals wording, nestabilities rectangles, brads from stash, finished with plenty of stickles glitter.

well today i am showing a birthday card i made for one of lewis`s class friends 5th birthday, using dare is say die cuts from a kanban kit!! ~yes no stamping or painting!!!!

have followed the challenge over on ABC ~"D is for die~cuts" ~hope this card counts!!

used patchwork pals diecut kit from kanban, sizzix alphabet dies, corner punch, various stars and words to make this shaker card and yarn from my stash.

below i am showing the various birthday cards i received from some crafting friends, (also some gorgeous goodies ~ which i forgot to take a pic) thankyou girls, :~ vickimay, carol, fairymad jo,vicki cody and kristin ~lovely surprise!!

well it`s friday again, boys first week over at school ~lewis has cried every morning!! ~so hope we can relax this weekend!!

for any of you who know about my DH pauls dispute at work lasting 7 weeks ~he finally has his meeting tonight at work to see if he still has his job ~what ever the answer we will fight it to the end~....... please send up an extra pray tonight!

JCBC 44 ~MY SKETCH!!

well here we are september the 7th and it is MY BIRTHDAY ~ yes 21 again!!

both my boys go back to school today and my mum goes into hospital for her eye op!!

but also today is my turn to create the sketch this week on http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/ ~so here it is , and my card below ~so hope you can join in making a xmas or bithday card!!




i have used one of my stylish ladies stamp, quickutz nesting flowers , flourish , heart dies and sizzix heart dies, see d`s word stamp and plenty of glitter.

well as you have guessed by my post we are now back from our week holiday in somerset ~visited wooky hole caves and mill, western~super~mare, took a steam train from minehead to bishops lydeard, toy museum and everything else in between including dodging the rain and storms!! here a couple of photos from our week :~

used papermania paper, penny black~"a perfect fit" stamp, elzybells wording stamp ~" when you stop believing in santa clause you get underwear for christmas", nestabilities labels, stampin`up scalloped edged punch, ribbon from my stash, finished with glitter.

well today i am showing a folding card i have made for one of my september birthday crafting friends ~well us september birthdays have to stick together!!
used the fab sketch over on LILI OF THE VALLEY ~(don`t have any of those gorgeous stamps yet ~ they are on their way soon) and followed the challenge on JUST MAGNOLIA ~ "ribbons and bows!" ~ links on my side bar.


to make this card i used k&co paper, magnolia:~ sitting tilda , large watering can and wording, nestabilities pinking circles, various ribbons, bow, flowers and brads from my stash finished with glitter. ~on the folded part of the card (shown below) i used the same as above except i used faerie poppets wording ( not made the inside yet!!)

special day ~3 year old

today i am showing a birthday card for a 3 year old ~ using the fab sketch over on SKETCH AND STASH(17) ~got a bit caried away with the stamps ~but you can see the sketch under it all!! also followed the challenge on STAMP FOR FUN ~ "at the sea", and CUTE CARD THURSDAY ~"lazy dayz". used basic grey papers,various new magnolia stamps from the summer collection ~so good to get them stamped up for the first time!!, see d`s wording, brads etc from my stash, finished with glitter.

can i ask if anyone knows if i can use the sizzix decorative strips in my cuttlebug using different plates/pads/platforms!! hope you can help!!

used a whipper snapper image (stamped for me by jo), free papers from papercraft inspirations, sizzix corners, quickutz swirls, nestabilities pinking circle, see d`s wording, flowers and gems from my stash, finished with glitter.

smile it`s your birthday

well i thought it was about time i sat down and did some crafting ~it`s been 2 weeks since i got my crafty bits out!! ~and my mother-in-laws birthday is on the horizon!!
been so wanting to ink up my popcorn bears ~so found just the challenges to do so!!
over on CUTE CARD THURSDAY ~ the theme is "tealy good" ~to use the colours teal and red, used the fab sketch over on FRIDAY SKETCHERS and followed the challenge on STAMP FOR FUN ~~"birthday". (links on my side bar)

used my new K and CO paper, popcorn the bear smile stamps (stamped a few times and decoupaged) , nestabilities pinking circles, red vellum and ribbon from my stash ~finished with glitter.

well all is settling down here ~my father is well on the mend now, should be up and running (well not quite) for our holiday, DH paul paid for me to go private and have my scans done instead of waiting over 4 weeks for the NHS~waiting to hear from my doctor ~ all seems well (fingers crossed) ~as for paul well the case bought against him by another work colleague is still being investigated (i cannot talk about it at the moment) ~so again fingers crossed, hope the company see paul is innocent.
have missed seeing all your beautiful creations ~hope i can get some blogging done this evening (if the boys are not fighting!!) byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for now xx
