things that grow!

well another day another challenge ~today i am showing my card using the sketch from friday sketchers and using the theme on cute card thurdsay, which is "things that grow".
have used my sugarnellie stamp, planting some love, papers from my stash, stampin up saying, dovecraft butterfly and ribbon from my stash, and some glitter.
well quick in and out today as have seven lively ~11 years olds descending on my house late this morning until late afternoon!! wish me luck!!!

chrissymaries fairy!!

well another day and a different kind of challenge ~chrissiemarie each friday has a fable and poem to inspire us!! one such friday she challenge us to a fairy card/creation of our choosing!! so here is mine chrissy!!
used falling softly by stamps happen, k& co paper, see d`s stamps, ribbon from my stash, and finished with glitter!! (need to click on the picture to see detail and glitter)
well today i`m back to more sorting and clearing out ~looks like rain ~which is a shame as paul plans to take the boys out today, to a local theme park!!

edwins buttons!!

well another day another challenge , one i love doing is tilda and friends ATC ~ this week their challenge is "buttons" ~love buttons as well ~so double enjoyment!!
used edwin with paddle, the engish paper company ~all aboard, and two anchor buttons, with string ,and a little gel pen.
did most of the clearing up yesterday in lewis`s room ~4 bin bags so far to go to the charity shop today. had a lovely tea at my in~laws , but got a bite on my arm from some nasty insect , and my arm as swollen up twice it`s size (so not much sleep last night , with the heat, coughing and now the ichy (balloon) arm ~gosh i`m going down hill fast!!

sarah kay ~coffee and cream!

well another day another challenge ~ well 3 actually. used the fab sketch from "papertake weekly", for my first sarah kay stamp ~ sarah kay challenge this week is "dots, circles and coffee colours" , also SBS 13 challenge theme this week is "barnyard fun" ~which was difficult as don`t have many animal stamps that fit that ~oooooooh yes sarah kay holding her chicks!! ~ideal!
used precious moments stamp, handmade paper and card from my stash, quickutz photo corners, american craft ribbon , papermania brad and some glittery gel pens! ~not my usual colours , but enjoyed using these muted tones.
well wasn`t it hot yesterday ~so what did we do go shopping in town ,actually we stayed in the shopping centre ~it was very cool in there, and did buy some new clothes for paul and myself ~got a fab outfit in the monsoon sale (just love that shop) ~paul sat in a darkened room yesterday evening ~counting his spent pennies!! :~)
really must get on with my house clear out , done aarons room , today must tackle lewis`s ~bin liners ready for the charity shops!! ~the loft can take nothing else ~so new motto "if it`s not used ~charity shop!!"

mandys ballet card

well another day another challenge,today i am showing this birthday card for mandy (vickimays daughter) using "the mojo monday sketch" ~ used k&co papers, nestabilities ovals, kerrys stamps, see d`s stamps and ribbon, glittered vellum from my stash, and plenty of glitter! with the paper left over i cut out some more butterflies and decoupaged them (vicki you just need to pull out the wings to make them stand out!!) ~see by clicking on the pic, for more of the details.
so enjoyed making htis girly card ~hope you had a very happy birthday mandy, and the film and food was good.
well the washing machine is on , lewis spilt a glass of milk all over my bed last night ~it went every where ~how does it travel so far!!! how did i strip the bed off so quick at 10.30 last night!!(and re~make it ,while he cried uncontrollably???) "thats life"!!

letterbox

well another day another challenge , ~showing my card using the sketch from "spoonfull of sugar" (however i left the square out behind the oval , as felt it was too much ), used "letter box" sugar nellie stamp, paper from my stash, nestabilities oval, american crafts ribbon, see d`s stamp and some glitter.
this is for my aunt in america, so tried to keep the card free of gems/brads , so it will not get caught up in any mail sorting machinery!!
yesterday i enjoyed a chat /and a chatch~up with an old friend (not that we are old, just known each other a few years, mmmmmm about 15 i guess), who popped round to say hi and stayed 3 hours.
it was very hot here last night , just couldn`t sleep and kept me coughing ~ don`t really like muggy weather!!~more of an autumn person me!!

snow much fun

well here we are another day another challenge!! today i am showing my card for the penny black challenge, the theme this week is "snow much fun" ~yes a great chance to produce a xmas card!! have kept the card simple and flat so it can be sent , safely to friends in the post. (going to make more of this design)
i used "you make me blush" pennyblack stamp, cuttlebug "sledge" embossing folder, see d`s stamp and snow flakes from my stash, and some glitter.

our friends!

well another day another challenge (think my challenge has been trying to post something , blogger keeps stopping me from publishing my post), any way here is my creation for tilda and friends atc, their theme this week is "our animal friends" ~don`t know about you but my teddy is aways my friend!!
used maganolia teddy and wall stamps, see d`s ants and butterfly stamps and a little glitter.



just have to show my goodies from annie (tilda and friends) my lace ribbons (for my lavender and lace ATC), some fantastic images and this lovely card!!(just my colours) ~thankyou annie , hope to use them very soon.

also would like to show this fab card from chrissymarie, what a lovely surprise ,and i think this card would make a fab xmas card, what do you think??

how does your garden grow?

well another day ,thought i had better get back to some blogging ~here is a card using the "mojo monday" sketch and the "SBS18 challenge"~how does your garden grow".
used cuttlebug flower embossing folder, quickutz circles, stampin up~doodle that stamps, dove craft wording, gems from my stash and ofcause some glitter (and some chalking).
should really be out doing some gardening this weekend, the grass is sooooooo long, and my wild flower garden has gone really wild!!! who knows may feel a bit better outside for a while with some fresh air!!

chloe`s kiss

well another day another challenge , well 3 actually, today i showing a card made using "friday`s sketch", and challenges for papertake weekly , their theme this week is "teenage kicks" and "a spoonfull of sugar" , their theme is "one for the girls". so have used sarah kay image ~kiss for chloe, paper from my stash, quickutz circles, see d`s stamp and anita words. buttons and fibres from my stash and some glitter.
sorry i have not been around much, but have been feeling really poorly , so went to the doctors today ~to be told i have bronchitis ~so have some amoxicillin tablets and an inhaler (had to shown how to use it , as never used one before) ~i`m never ill!! always looking after the boys with their coughs and colds!! doctor said my immune system must be very low ~if only he knew what this family has been through this year ~still we always put our children first!! doctor said it`s time for me to look after myself ~ well i will try!!

martha`s pearls

well another day another challenge, today i am showing my creation for "tilda and friends ATC", this week the theme is "perfect pearls", so have chosen martha with pearls magnolia stamp, pearly lilac paper, prima flowers with pearly sequins in the centre, martha, is holding her pearls , (found in my stash on a roll ~where they are from who knows, maybe when i was making xmas angels for xmas one year), oh and some glitter!!
not feeling so good today ,up all night with this cough, hope lewis lets me rest today!!

well another day another challenge , well 3 today!! used the sketch from papertake weekly ~wow what a sketch ~looks great once made up!! also used the "spoonfull of sugar" challenge , the theme this week is "one for the boys", and finally, "cute card thursday" the theme this week is "card for a child"
used papers from my stash , as trying to use up papers from my very large box of off cuts !!! used "rockstar" sugar nellie image, quickutz revolution circles, brad and stars from my stash , and a little bit if glitter.

thinking of others!

well another day another challenge, today i am showing a set of invites, for the magnolia challenge , which this week is "thinking of others". have used shabby chic tilda sitting, sitting edwin, fence scene magnolia stamps, also fun and funky see d`s stamps for the wording outside and inside.

have made these for aaron to give out to his friends at school, as you know he has been having a hard time at school, so thought a fun party in the summer holidays would be a nice way of keeping the friends together and enjoying themseves (and a big thankyou for supporting him and getting (adults) help when it was needed!! (now to plan what food to serve and what activities to suggest!!)

well another day another challenge , well 2 actually!! used the great sketch from "mojo monday " ~have squashed the design down a bit, so shorter and fatter, to add this image (thanks jo) for the "pennyblack "challenge, who`s theme this week is "buttons and brads"!
used paper from my stash, papermania ribbon and clear sticker, flowers, brad, buttons and gems are from my stash. finished with a touch of glitter!!

basket of flowers

another day another challenge ~well i have used the friday sketchers , sketch for this card, made for my aunt. used papermania papers, personal impressions stamp, see D`s stamps and clear choice stamp corners (which isn`t showing up very well), organza ribbon from my stash and some glitter!
well i managed to get my wedding outfit , not at all what i went for ~had in mind a bright colourful dress and jacket , came home with a brown trouser suit (sounds terrible, but linen trousers , silk oyster jacket and cotton lace blouse) also got shoes , jewellery and bag ~all in 4 hours!! luckily mum came with me , and could give me the thumbs up or down!! all in and out of the pouring rain!!

not a washing day!!

well another day another challenge, well 2 actually!~used the fantastic sketch from friday sketchers (9) and the challenge for "cute card" this week is "the great outdoors" ~ well, what i do most out doors is hang out our many piles of washing every day ~but not today ~have you seen the rain ??
have used hot off the press paper, great hagler image (from my dear friend aija), quickutz swirls and lettering!! gel pen stitching and some glitter!
am planning on clothes shopping today !~ need a wedding outfit ~my parents are having lewis for the day ( 4 year old boys just hate shopping), so i`m hoping i can come away today with a nice summery outfit!!

well another day , but no challenge!!! this is a card for my best friend vickimay`s daughter who turns 18 very soon. used colorbok paper, kerry`s stamps, stamping up stamps and clear choice stamps. ribbon, flowers and gems from my stash ,with plenty of glitter!! ~please click oh picture to see the detail ~it is not clear on this photo!! the "18" on the front was hand cut and stitched to give it a sort of grunge look!! (to go with the main "ballet dancer).

lavender and lace!!

well another day another challenge , today i am showing another ATC, only this time it`s for ATC tilda and friends!! the theme this week is "lavender and lace"!!
used lavender papers from my stash , tilda in straw ( made into lavender), clear choice stamp ( to look like lace ,as i didn`t have any small enough for an ATC), and plenty of glitter!!
well we all had a great family day yesterday , didn`t go to the "wondrland park" as was raining in the morning , but all had a great time ,while the boys played ,us grown~up`s watch the mens tennis finals ~what a game!!! fantastic watch!! even managed to eat tea , when the match took a break for rain!!! towards the end the boys had the musical instruments out , to celebrate each point won ~bet your glad you don`t live next door to us!!!
