birthdays are a piece of cake

so here we go another male birthday card ~over the next few weeks i have my fathers birthday, also my brother, brother-in-law, husband and my son lewis`s 7th birthday..oh and one girl friends card ~oh maybe some pink then!!LOL!!!

used the wonderful sketch over on :~

MAGNOLIA DOWN UNDER #78

MAKE IT COLOURFUL#1 ~WARM OR COOL COLOURS ~I HAVE USED "COOL COLOURS"

MAGNOLIA STAMP LOVERS~BLUE

THE CRAFTY PAD#103 ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY

used hot of the press paper, magnolia edwin and cake stamps, see d`s balloon and word stamps, coloured with promarkers, sizzix alphabet dies, stampin`up scalloped punch, finished with a little glitter.

thought this card would be great for my boys to give their grandad ~as they all love birthday cake and balloons ... and my dad always wears a tie (whatever the weather!)
must get on and make an anniversery card for my in-laws ~they remembered ours last week!!~my mother-in-law made a lovely card for us ~ cannot believe paul and myself have been married 14 years!! how young we looked on that snow covered day........

Lovin this! A while back I was looking for a birthday card for a friend. I had zero luck finding what I was looking for. I told a group of friends about this problem one night while we were having a few drinks. We proceeded to get smashed and make up a bunch of greeting cards we found funny. I had been writing down the cards we made up and the next morning I read them. Much to my surprise the cards were still funny even when sober.

Hi Nessy! it's a beautiful card for Grandad in shades of blue! Yes, I use Momento ink for stamping when I colour with copics, or with pencils. I have page tabs on my blog where I'm adding useful hints and tips and links when I find them - you might find them interesting.
hugs, annie x

Hi Vanessa,

Wow it's so great to see a masculine take on the sketch! They are alway sooo much harder to make (in my opinion anyway!) Great card - I love the Grandad wording down the side :)

Thanks for joining us at Magnolia Down Under this week.
