more notelets!

well today i am showing some more notelets made using the sketch on the SBS18 challenge ~ used hot off the press papers, sugarnellie stamp ~penpal ~quickutz flowers cirlces and stylized cuttlebug flowers embossing folder, stampin up circle saying, ribbon from my stash and some glitter. made a folder to put the notelets in, also used quickutz swirls and hearts.

BIRTHDAY BLOG CANDY!!

well today is my birthday ~surprise surprise ~all the fours today!! where do the years go??? why am i not wearing pearls and twinset?? and sensible shoes?? isn`t that what ladies do once they hit their 40`s?? actually i do like to wear sensible shoes, don`t like the loud "pop" music in clothes shops and am gradually turning into a grumpy old women!!! (when you keep remembering the "good old days"!!!)
well to celebrate my birthday and the fact i have over 12,000 hits ~i thought i would add some blog candy to be won today. i`m calling it my "bits and bobs" ~ just a box of items we sometimes need when creating , some 12x12 papers, vellums, A4 papers ,ribbons and embellishments ~also some stamped images (will stamp what ever you would like , (i use watercolour card) have shown my new cuddlybuddly ~but the choice is yours) ~can get a better look when you click on the pic!!

something different

well over on tilda and friends they have asked us to do "something different" with our ATC`s, so i am showing my tilda ATC, which i have used on the front of this folder which has been sent to a blogging friend, tina, ~hope it has reached you tina!!
have used tilda with chocolate heart and tree stump, crafty individuals paper, quickutz swirls, flowers and gems from my stash.

candy!!

well vicki on http://paperliciousoasis.blogspot.com/ has some blog candy up for grabs to celebrate her birthday and 20,000 hits!! all you need to do is produce a card with the theme "pins and needles".
well here is my card ~ i have used the sketch on ismaki, have used we R memory keepers promenade papers, image sent to me by gillyflower, studio g stamps, whispers words qickutz swirls and tags, stitched ribbons, safety pin, beads and gems from my stash. to go with this card i have made a matching folder , with some stamped images inside ~HAPPY BIRTHDAY vicki.

now who said romance was dead??? after paul buying me that bargin broom ~i woke yesterday to find these pressies in the kitchen waiting for me. been having a bad time lately with my doctors appointments and many blood tests ,and on going problems with aaron (has aspergers syndrome) ~i have been feeling very low ~not a man of many words my husband ~but sometimes actions speak louder!!!

bens birthday

well today i am showing a birthday card i have made using the sketch from sketch saturday, for lewis`s friend ben`s 5th birthday which is this weekend!! also the basic grey challenge this week is to "distress", so hope i have done enough on this card!!
used high hopes stamp ~levi, basic grey archaic papers and stickers, sizzix graffiti letters, quickutz round tag and photo corners, ribbon from my stash.
busy day today, but just like to say a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear friend aija, hope you have a wonderful day. byeeeeeeeeeee xx

notelet folder

wel today i am showing a folder i have made as a gift, using the sketch from friday sketchers, and some notelets.
have used paper given to me by my MIL from a set from create&craft, butterfly stamp (gift from aija), feather/leaf stamp (gift from jo), studio G stamp, flowers and gems from my stash
the notelets are using the same papers, covered with sparkly vellum, anitas online stickers, lakeland lace border, ribbon, brads and bows from my stash.

well the family enjoyed a lovely stroll along the beach yesterday, as the weather here was beautiful and very warm, and then finished off a wonderful morning walking through bournemouth gardens , where a local band was playing all the old songs , so my aunt was so pleased and was chatting about the days in the war , the dance hall and ofcause all the GI`s!! there was many feet a tapping old and new!!

christmas is coming!

well i am showing another xmas card today, made by using the sketch from ismaki, (not used all the detail from the sketch as thought it was too much for my card). used the theme from "spoon ful of sugar" this week which is "christmas is coming"!.
used these wonderful hanglar images sent to my from my dear friend aija, crafty individuals xmas paper, cuddlybuddly circle wording stamp, hand made xmas papers from lakeland, quickutz pointsettia die cut and some added glitter.


well the weekend is here , we now have our car back ~at last and i`m off to visit my parents as my aunt (dads sisiter) from the USA is visiting them ~80 years plus and still fitter than me!! will be great to see her again , been awhile , she has been over once since 9/11, ( doesn`t worry her ~"been through the war didn`t get me then" ~she was a GI bride ~so made of tough stuff ) sure she has lots of photos to show of my cousins and their family!!

a little note!

well today i am showing my ATC for the tilda and friends challenge, which this week is use the colours "pink,blue and green." it doesn`t show up very well on this photo but the back ground paper has more pinks and greens in it!!
used tilda with pencil (hasn`t tilda grown?, her head is popping over the top), crafty individuals paper, stamin up circle stamp and paper clip from my stash!

well we still don`t have our car back , they have found something else wrong ~so the bill is going up and up ~take out another mortgage at this rate!! so paul had to walk into and back from work (just got home safely) so better get my walking shoes on this moring for the school run!! lewis has a bad cold (yes back to mixing with other children) ~so he will be home today. i had a phone call from my doctors to say i need to go back for more bloodtests ~so all in all a fantastic thursday!! as the song goes "things can only get better"!!

who needs chocolate??

well today i am showing my card using the sketch on "2 sketches 4 you", and magnolia challenge which this week is "chocolate delight" ~use the colours chocolate, pink and white. ~ so enjoyed making this card , good job it has taken me two days to complete!!
have used papermania simply elegant papers, magnolia with heart chocolates stamp, inkadinkado saying, studio G stamp, super assortments card stock, ribbon, gems and glitter from my stash. inside i used an old envelope , decorated with clear choice stamps and magnolia heart shaped chocs stamp.



hope you have time to do some crafting, i so hope i do ~ but could be doing a lot of walking the next few days , as the clutch has gone on the car, and it`s quite a walk to aarons school and then back to lewis and home, then pick up lewis at lunch time ~paul will do aarons run after 3pm ~ to save my legs!! there is always something!! byeeeeeeeeeee xx

well i have nothing to show today as the card i was making was not finished, so hopefully it will be tomorrow and i can post it then. but i did receive this wonderful card and amazing folder from linda http://linda-wright.blogspot.com/ , some so cute images , and i don`t have any of these stamps , so cannot wait until i can play with them. thankyou so much linda , was a lovely surprise, to find on my door mat yesterday!!

well who said romance is dead??? i read yesterday that one lucky crafter had been given her subscription to the magnolia club, from her husband ~which made me laugh , as yesterday paul arrived home smiling " don`t ever say i`m not romantic" and produced a long handled broom!! well i sat nonplussed ~ he then said " well you did say you need one , and it was reduced to £1.75" ~like i said romance is not dead ~it`s the thought that counts ~but i have to say the magnolia stamps would have been nicer!!

who am i?

well i am not showing a card today, but a scrapbook page, i haven`t made one of these for ages and really need to get back into filling up my scrapbook. thing is they take so much preparation and time to make (well mine do) ~as i don`t seem to have that many photos of me (as i am usually taking the photo!!)
well vanessa`s class on "scrummy stash cafe" this week, called "WHO AM I?" ~ has got me going again ~ not completely to her class , as i used 3 photos and not one cut into three!! but enjoyed creating this page!!
used 3 photos from when i was 8 ,20 and 43 years old. used basicgrey sultry paper , brenda pinnick letters, sizzix button die, stamps away flower stamps, doodlebug butterfly stamp (my name vanessa means butterfly , so felt i needed one on this page) and many buttons from my stash. please click the picture to get more detail!!
lewis went into school ok yesterday, although very quiet, and aaron seems much happier this year (so far) ~so maybe i can relax a bit more ~and enjoy some quiet "me time"!!

a special smile!

well today i am showing my card for the "cute card thursday" challenge, which this week the theme is "cats and dogs" ~fantastic news ~ i can used one of my favourite cat pennyblack stamps!! then decided it was time to use some paper from my basic grey archaic collection ( haven`t been able to bring myself to cut it up and use) , so on firday , as the internet was not working, again, i got down and made this card!! so was so surprised on saturday when on "pennyblack saturday" challenge the theme was ""mens card" using no blue, and the new "basicgrey" challenge was to use buttons!!

have used "absolutely silly about you" pennyblack stamp, basic grey archaic paper, sizzix buttons (made with the paper/card), heroarts and stampendous stamps (used on the inside) i

really enjoyed making this card for someone special!

well back to school runs this morning, fingers crossed lewis is ok, then for the big shop at tesco`s!! (on my own ~no help from lewis), then haircuts later this afternoon for the boys!!

more birthday cards!!

well today i thought i would post the card i made for my SIL, from my parents, i used the sketch on mojo monday challenge. my SIL is an artist and from california, and this image (sent to me by gillyflower) is so her, and the colourful papers.
used crafty individuals book 1 papers, this fab image (no idea which make), nestabilities oval circle, see d`s wording, ribbon and gems from my stash ,with glitter added!


well at last my birthday card from vickymay, my bestest friend, has arrived ~and well worth the wait (to the lady at portsmouth postoffice ,please weigh the envelopes correctly, and then i don`t get surcharged,and my card would have got here on time!!)
so much work has gone into this card ~ its beautiful, and vicki has sent me the template so i can make one myself ~could do with a envelope template now!! :~) ~just showing one page below.
and vicki don`t you dare give up blogging!!

celebrate!!

well today i am showing the card i made for my brother and sister~in~law for their second wedding anniversary, next week!!
used one of the sketches from "2 sketches 4 u" challenge and went for a "bright and bold" colour scheme as on "my time to craft" challenge.
used laura ashley papers, magnolia wine bottle and choc box, quickutz circle flowers die and tag, papermania stickers, large brads, yellow vellum and ribbon from my stash. finished with a little glitter. (of cause the tag fits into the pocket with just a little bit showing)

at last a photo of my boys in their school uniforms!! how grown up they are both looking!!
was a busy day yesterday , met myself coming back!! had to visit the legalized vampire at the doctors for some blood tests and had my hair cut where i let my hairdresser do what he wanted ~ gosh it`s gone very short ~but after the shock , i really like it!! ( may have to invest in some hair gel ~for the ruffled look!!)
and yes our internet was down nearly all day and all evening ~seems our post code area are having problems!! paul did phone virgin media ~but they couldn`t really help or speak english!!
so couldn`t visit any of you or the friday challenges , so hope the internet holds out today!!

allison`s, birthday card

well did get down to some card making yesterday ~at last ~i made this birthday card for my sister~in~law, who`s birthday is monday ~ nearly forgot ~as allison has only been in our family for a few years and up to now i was the only birthday in september!! (mmmm brain is going!! having to write things down to remember!! ) ~also their (my brother) wedding anniversary is the next day ~so you know what i will be doing today!!

used the fab sketch from "sketch saturday" ~think i will use this again ~as it looks better than i thought it would!! also used a pennyblack stamp (love these stick girls) which fits in great with the "pennyblack" challenge which this week is "one for the girls"
used one of my stick girls (skipping), paper from my stash, revolution nestling flower circles from quickutz, cuttlebug birthday embossing folder, stampin up circle saying, dovecraft corner stamp, flower, flower brad and ribbons from my stash. ..and some glitter to finish!!

well lewis was a star yesterday going into school ~ so no tears yesterday ~still won`t have his uniform on long enough to take a photo!! hey ho!!

birthdays and schooldays!!!

well as you can see no photo of lewis in his new school uniform!!! to cut a long story short ~once he got into his uniform , he quickly took it all off again ,including his pants (bought especially for school) and said with hands on hips " no mum i`m not going today!!" luckly paul was around for this big day ~and we did get him into school, with two teachers having to wrestle him away ~he is so strong and strong willed ( like his dad paul!! never like his mum!!) the school phoned half an hour later to say he was fine , ~ he was taking his uniform off as he walked back into the house when he came home!! so no chance of a photo!! so have included a picture taken on hols , two weeks ago, with hands on hips!!! lets hope he`s keen today ~as i`m on my own!!

i really must get on with some crafting today , just couldn`t eat /drink/think yesterday besides craft , so hope today lewis settles ~then i can settle!!
