papertake weekly challenge

another day another challenge!! bit of a quick one this!! yes i shows , had nothing made to put on my blog today, so made this yesterday, had the idea in my head , but didn`t transfer to the card very well!!
the papertake weekly challenge was to use scallops/zigzags on your card!!! sounds simple enough!! used some paper from my stash, quickutz revolution frame, balloons, tilda wearing apron, parcels ,ric-rac ribbon and finished with glitter!! hey ho i tried !!

for all you out there with children ~ do you feel they have too much homework (especially over the holidays??) aaron (10) has so much to do this easter break ( schools on holiday down here) ~ i know he has his SAT`s tests this year -but hey far too much _ we sat with him most of the day yesterday doing two lots of science , and five lots of english ~ and we still have loads to do today!! the sun is out again today -and we will be stuck inside doing home work -when we should be going out for the day , enjoying ourselves as a family!! i just feel , holiday time -should be holiday time , as families have so little time to do "things" together, in term times!!!! paul has this week off work, not his plan to be sat inside doing homework!!!! the time spent in the science museum on tuesday was such a fun way to learn and interact!! sorry get off my soap box now!! oh one more thing -do i really care how he does in the SAT`s tests?? simple ~ NO!! i would rather know how he i coping in class and what he is "really" learning -not what he can answer on a test!!
sorry , just needed to say that!!
hope you all have a good day , and enjoy the sun!! byeeeeeeeeeeee xx

lovely card very pretty :)
my daughter did her sats a couple of years ago and the amount of homework was a nightmare, far to much pressure for that age I think :)

Lovely card Vanessa.

Regarding homework, my son is in year 6 and has been going into school an hour earlier each day for the past couple of months and gets homework every night - too much I think also

I hear ya vanessa on the too much homework thing...my kids have atleast an hour of home work each night-which means 2 hours for me! I think the time is better spent outside or with family...anyways!

Lovely card!
